Blogtober 21: questions galore

1. Who was your last text from? If it’s an actual text message it’s probably DHL telling me my parcel was going through customs. If any messaging app is fine, then it’s one of my mamatomo on Line!
2. Who was your last call from? Probably my parents via FaceTime.
3. What is your worst habit? My husband says peeing with the door open (especially when the dog decides to come into the room as well).
4. How many people have you dated? *squints* I fell asleep answering this earlier. 8 or 9, maybe? I’m not sure, I don’t remember people who aren’t important. Only like 4 “important” ones.
5. What is your favourite TV series you have watched? I don’t have one favourite, that’s really hard. I’ve loved His Dark Materials, New Tricks, Killing Eve, Elementary and the adaptations of Agatha Christie’s Poirot with David Suchet. My guilty pleasure is probably Criminal Minds. Love me some good murder telly.
6. What is the last song you listened to? This one. 😬
7. Do you want to get married? Already am, and happily so! I never imagined I’d get married though (and certainly not to a man). You often see people in Japan write “I want to get married this year!” on the wish boards at shrines and I could never imagine being the sort of person to think like that.
8. Does talking about sex make you uncomfortable? About sex that I have? With people who aren’t involved in my sex life? Yeah.
9. Would you ever share a bath with someone? Absolutely! Onsen culture ♨️
10. What is your favourite animal? Too tough! Sea animal group? Cephalopods, especially the octopus. Land animal group? Canines, especially foxes. Domesticated animal? Dogs and cows. Flying group? Birds, especially little round fat ones.
11. Would you ever smoke weed? Not in Japan, hah! And not any more outside Japan either tbh.
12. What is your favourite way to wear your hair? When I had longer hair, I liked it half up. I can’t do anything with my hair whatsoever, it’s too straight and fine. Even though there’s a lot of it, it won’t stay put unless it’s tied tightly in a ponytail. I have Mum Hair now (jaw length), and it’s fine.
13. Who was the last person you had a deep conversation with? My husband! We talk about “deep” stuff all the time.
14. What are your favourite bands/singers? AFI and Miyavi are my loves from my schooldays 💕
15. What is your relationship status? Married.
16. What is your sexuality? Mostly gay, as it happens. I use pansexual and/or bisexual as labels.
17. What are your initials (including middle names)? NPH. I was NPB before getting married!
18. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again? I can’t remember if it was my husband or my daughter but in any event, yes.
19. Who is the most attractive celeb? Janelle Monáe and Tessa Thompson and Lupita Nyong’o and Shemar Moore and Daniel Henney and Yutaka Takenouchi. And one token white guy, though I’m not sure he counts as a celebrity: Shane Madej. Nobody said I could only pick one! Never mind that the question is in the singular!
20. Do you/would you ever drink alcohol? Drinking alcohol right now (small glass of wine; the baby is in bed)🍷
21. What makes you happy? When my baby is in a good mood and my husband is home and there’s nothing that urgently needs doing ☺️
22. What are you like when you’re drunk? Horny and then asleep. There’s only a very thin line between the two 😅
23. Would you rather live without music or TV? Without TV, for sure.
24. Do you like people playing with your hair? Only if it’s someone I already have a good relationship with, lol. No randos touching my head, thanks!
25. What traits do you find attractive in someone? Intelligence and empathy, kind and expressive eyes.
26. Would you kiss someone of the opposite gender? There are more than two genders and I would kiss them all Only the one I’m married to!
27. Do you feel awkward during silences when with someone? It depends entirely on the person. Not usually.
28. How long did your longest relationship last? It’s this current one, so 6 years.
29. Would you ever become vegetarian? Oh goodness yes. If I still lived in England I would be veggie in a heartbeat, but it’s a lot more difficult here.
30. Do you think aliens exist? Sure! I think it would be far weirder if we were the only life forms in the universe. I just don’t believe we’re ever likely to interact with any of them.
